"You are amongst champions. You show up and you lift the
ceiling off this theater. That was your fight song and if I can do anything, I
will do anything to help you win this fight," Mandel said seconds before
he pressed the golden buzzer for Hale. The golden buzz will fast track her
through the finals.
Hale received a standing ovation but Judge Mel B didn't seem to
agree saying "you have an incredible voice, and you're like a
firecracker" and added that the young singer should have put her own
signature flare on the song but was teased by Judge Simon Cowell.
This is the second time that the young singer got a golden
buzzer, the first was back in 2017 when she competed at the 12th Season of
America’s Got Talent and placed 2nd at the finals.
Angelica Hale was born to Fil-Am James Hale and Eva Bolando,
from Iligan City. Angelica is not your ordinary girl and she has a medical
condition At the age of four, she contracted a severe bacterial pneumonia,
causing septic shock and multiple organ failure including her kidneys. After
spending a year and a half on dialysis, she received a life-saving kidney
transplant from her mother Eva.
